BlueSkies Ranch is appropriately named for the vast blue hole over our family’s citrus/avocado nursery. Although we get an occasional downpour, it can be raining all over San Diego County, and we can still have “nothing but blue sky smiling down on us.”
We got our first horse in March, 1999, and although the numbers change frequently, we commonly have anywhere from 10 to 30 horses residing under our blue skies. We have 8 of our own horses, with a couple Icelandic Horses in training to be sold, if the right person comes along, and the rest belong to friends. We don’t have any real goals in mind, we just try to stay open-minded and take life as it’s dished out. We do insist on gentleness and safety for both horses and their riders, and encourage natural horsemanship in training for both.
