What do you look for in choosing breeding stock or choosing a stallion for your mare?
Some of the things (not necessarily in order of importance) are as follows:
Temperament
Conformation
Natural Gait
Movement
Tendency to Spavin
Ability to show gait or gaitedness at liberty
Quality of conformation and gaitedness of previous offspring
How do you determine these things, either in person, or if the horse is geographically far away?
