The following is information about our clinician, Lee Ziegler, for the
gathering in May, 2002 (weekend of the 4th and 5th).
Lee will be drawing lots of folks from other gaited horse breeds, which will
give us a good opportunity for them to have plenty of exposure to the
Icelandic Horse.
We hope that our website supporters will be able to make it--and bring a
horse or two for sale!
The number of riders in the clinic will be limited to 12 maximum. We will
need to get $50 deposits on riding spots as soon as possible. Email me
privately for mailing address.
Auditors welcome.

Who Is Lee Ziegler?
A well-known author on the subject of gaited horses withover 30 years
experience riding, training, and judging all gaited breeds, Lee Ziegler has
been conducting successful seminars for riders of gaited horses since the
late 1980's. She has travled extensively in the us and to Germany, sharing
her training method, a blend of traditional dressage and natural western
horsemanship. This wayof riding and training allows riders to develop the
gaits of these unique horses using no specialized shoeing or equipment
gimmicks.
The clinic will include information about how to condition your horse's body
and mind, exercises to increase stride, flexibility, and transitions; and
also effective equitation.
Hope you will be able to come down. We're having an Icelandic
Horse clinic with Lee Ziegler, and planning beach rides, potlucks, games,
demos, clicker training, bareback riding, etc.
Riding in the clinic is $150, auditors $25 and the rest of the activities
will be free (or donation to pay for any special equipment needed), minus
any private lessons.
The clinic will be the weekend of May 4 / 5, and other activities on those
days and the previous Friday and following Monday. It will be held in Central Coast, town of Templeton, just north of San Luis Obispo, centered between San Francisco and Los Angeles. There will be some horses available to be used for lessons for those who do not bring their own horse.
Yvonne may be coming from Australia to attend the clinic! Hopefully she will enjoy the Icelandic Horses and take one back to be the first Icelandic in OZ!
For those who want to ride in the clinic, please send the deposit to hold
your riding spot as they are limited.
We invite everyone to plan on meeting us here (whether you ride in the clinic or not) to enjoy the friendship and learn from one of the most knowledgeable gaited horse trainers around. As previously mentioned, Lee employs a combination of dressage and natural western horsemanship in her training and teaching and enjoys the benefit of producing riders and horses who work naturally--"Gaits Without Gimmicks".
