Icelandic Horses are very playful in their herds. The boys more so than the girls. Mares tend to be a little more sedate, and can play some of these games, but the boys are more active.
One of their favorite games is to get each other down on their knees.
Or to rear up in play fighting.
They love to play run and chase!
And also to bite and kick out at each other. (Yes, they can hurt one another.)
There is also butt bumping, but that is more on the serious side; power struggles, generally when introducing a new horse to the herd.
