We just had the most incredible advanced Alex clinic this
weekend. I keep thinking this is the best Alex clinic, and then she
comes along and blows our socks off with another Best clinic. And
she says, "This is just the tip of the iceberg." We have the Taste!
And the taste is so inviting. We want more! We love it. Our horses
love it. Magic's body is healing big time. He looks pretty in the
pasture even. (this is major stuff for me. The healing power of the
clicker).
We had another person attend the clinic who "knew Magic when".
She told me she would not have thought he was the same horse - at all-
She said he eyes were totally different, and his whole body looked
totally different. That she would never have recognized him as the
Magic she once knew. Its fun to have those "I knew Magic when"
people come and see him. I wish Alex knew him when too. But I did
my clicker homework from her book and videos before she met him.
The energy of The Magic Center/The NW Equine Clicker Training
Center is becoming thick. New people who come in can feel it. Isn't
that the coolest! The horses feel it. They lay down to sleep. They
are happy. They can feel the love and the healing that takes place
there. Powerful.
This work is powerful. The deeper I go into it, more is revealed.
My lesson was filling in the holes in geography/travel. And the
main group lesson, amongst many, was exploring the Energy Gates.
(opening up the energy flow in the human body). And we practiced
rope handling skills again. I love reviewing that, because each time
I come to that exercise from a new place of understanding. The focus
was on sending energy down the rope. Very cool. My human partner
gave me feedback as to when my energy was sent clearly. Sometimes
she got goose bumps from a send on a major slack line. So this has
me rethinking the whole notion of 'point of contact'. The
implications...
Today I went and practiced what I learned, and my body felt
different. I worked with my young horse with my new body, and things
were so much clearer for her. It wasn't just the mechanical aids, I
was able to add the energy aids too. It was fun.
I am going to go through Alex's Step by Step book with my young
horse. When I started with Magic that book wasn't out yet. So this
will be fun.
And the ride on Magic today was amazing! I am still digesting
that one.
Julie and I will be teaching "Introductory Clicker Training
Classes" here in Toutle, WA, if anyone wants to come study the
foundation work. Dates: May 5,6,7 and Sept 11,12. We are doing
this to help people be able to slide into the advanced clinic
series. We can take up to 4 horses. And we will give demos with our
horses. No stallions, or dangerous/aggressive horses please. And
also you can come watch without a horse.
Just the best stuff!
