Sending (Driving) Your Horse Thru Gaits and Around Obstacles

Practice of "driving" or "sending" your horse thru gaits, between obstacles (squeeze game), and around obstacles helps you build a common language between you and your horse.

It helps you learn how to send your horse where you want him to go, and helps him learn how to respond to your requests.

These pictures show a couple of gals sending their horse around two over-turned rubber trash cans. At times they will "send" the horse around the closer can; other times they will send the horse around the can that is furthest away. Additionally, there are times when they will ask the horse to do a figure "8" around the cans.

They accomplish this (they let their horse known which can) by the energy that they emit from their own body and what they send thru the line.
