This is an old shower stall, custom built, in the 50's; replaced with a modern pre-fab curved door shower. The
old shower, with thick walls from floor to ceiling, made the small bathroom smaller.
The old shower drain is in the wrong place for the newer construction. We had to break into the concrete foundation
to move the drain pipe into the right location for the new shower.
Ripping the outside of the shower wall.
Tearing down tile inside shower stall.
Pipes need to be cut, capped, and relocated to inside wall.
Walls and tile almost all gone.
Cousin Jimmy lends his concrete tools and expertise.
Test fitting the shower pan for the location of the drain.
Preparing the copper fittings.
Insulation and securing wall panels.
Drywall.
The new shower has a smaller footprint than the old shower;
additional tiles had to be laid.
