If you have single pane windows, you might consider upgrading to dual pane vinyl windows. They can be installed in two different ways; either full replacement, or retrofit.

The first two pictures are full replacement (when the walls are open, we also add insulation... never open and close a wall without taking the opportunity to add insulation!); and the next windows are retrofits.

with some finishing work on the inside.
