Cherie Mascis of Pet Education and Training Services (P.E.T.S.) has been
working with horses,
dogs, parrots, and other exotic animals for over 27 years. She attended
Moorpark College's
Exotic Animal Training and Management Program, was a Bird Show Presenter and
Trainer at
Busch Gardens and Curator of Birds at Marine World/Africa USA and is
presently the Curator of
Animal Programs at Turtle Bay Exploration Park in Redding, CA.
Cherie has
trained exotic and domestic animals for movies and commercials, written for
Bird World, Parrot World, and was on the cover of the first
Bird Talk. She presents entertaining and informative programs on parrot
training and behavior
to bird clubs, pet stores and does private in-home consultations.
Cherie is
presently focusing on rehabilitating troubled horses with a combination of
natural horsemanship / clicker training techniques with a special focus on
Icelandic Horses.
